We are learning.....

Kindergarten

Kindergartners have now learned the letters m, p, f, c, t, s, d, l, a, o, r, b, i, n, g, u, j, w and e. We are now also working on writing and reading short words. Most students are able to blend together sounds in words such as hat, bit and pan. Encourage your child to write short words at home and ask them to read the words to you.

Second Grade

This month we have begun reading stories about responsibility. We started with stories about jobs. We are now reading about taking care of animals. Throughout the remainder of the year we will be focusing on the main idea of stories. We will also read each story multiple times to help improve reading fluency. While the school year seems to be coming to an end quickly, please remind your children to do their best in class. We need to continue to prepare for third grade.
